YOGA BASICS PART 1: BREATHING + FLOW

good basics are like good manners…they’re always helpful, whether you’re a novice or an expert.

over the next three months, we’ll be zooming out a little bit to highlight the basic elements in the big picture of vinyasa yoga.

APRIL: Breathing + Flow

MAY: Mobility + Balance

JUNE: Centering + Relaxation

this month, you’ll learn how to breathe well and most effectively to create a state of flow in body + mind.

flow is a sense of fluidity between your body and mind, where you are totally engaged and deeply focused, beyond the point of distraction…and, in general, you’re really digging on the experience.

you can create a flow state doing moving through vinyasa, testing your edge in Warrior 2, or releasing deep tension in Frog Pose…and breathing well helps.

in each of our classes this month, we’ll focus on the different ways we can use breath to create moving meditation, maintain our composure during challenges, and unwind stress to invite deep relaxation.
